Mike Bloomer

Mike has extensive experience teaching violin, guitar, cello, and bass. He offers private lessons for students at a beginning and intermediate level.  Using a gentle approach Mike wants his students to enjoy the experience of learning to play an instrument and develop the skills and understanding of playing with proper musical technique.   Currently Mike is teaching on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at The Music Shck in Casselberry.   To get more information call 407.678.1765.

BEGINNERS

Within six months, you will learn the basics and be able to:

• Read sheet music
• Understand and play scales and arpeggios
• Guitar students will learn how play simple chords
• Understand how to practice

INTERMEDIATE

Intermediate students will learn to play songs, improve technique, and sight reading skills.  Music theory is also presented during lessons so students will understand the "big picture" of how music works.

To progress students should:

• Practice regularly -- 30 minutes per day, or two hours per week
• Perform with others and alone in front of an audience
• Watch and listen to professional musicians play their instrument of choice
